On summer at Beloit SDA Church we have Vacation Bible School (VBS). We meet in the evenings at the church for a week to have lots of fun together learning about Jesus and making new friends.
We sing songs, play games, Bible dramas, fun crafts and also kids make their own snacks. It’s really a fun week both for kids and church family.
Here’s a brief overview of our last year’s VBS…
VBS 2011: Jerusalem Marketplace
From chaotic organization to organized chaos. After a couple years of suspension, the Beloit VBS has returned.
This year’s program, from Aug. 1-5, was called Jerusalem Marketplace. The theme was Jesus. The daily study points were:
- Jesus is King
- Jesus showed God’s love
- Jesus loves us
- Jesus died for us
- Jesus lives
There was a good turnout of 16 kids, considering a couple of layoff years. Most impressive was the volunteer helpers of all ages.
