On Sunday March 18 (2012) a Youth Bible Study kicked off at the Woodland SDA Church in Janesville. This is a combined effort of Beloit and Woodland SDA Churches.
The Bible Study is led out by Pastor Jim Van Arsdale, with Mark Johnson and Brad Messer also participating.
The resource booklet being used is titled “A Reason to Believe (What Being an Adventist is All About).” It is put out by the Review and Herald Publishing Association.
It has 14 contributing authors of various ministry backgrounds. It boils down the 28 fundamental beliefs of the Seventh Day Adventist church to 10 lessons.
The lesson headings are Divinity, Rebellion, Humanity, Revelation, Jesus, Response, Love Joy, Future, and Purpose. The lessons are brief enough to allow contemplation and not feel over burdened, yet comprehensive enough to come away with satisfying answers and a clear direction.
Any area youth are invited to join this study. The age range is 11 – 17 give or take.
If there are other age groups interested in studies they can certainly be accommodated by contacting Pastor Van Arsdale, Mark, or Brad.
In Christ’s Love,
Your Beloit SDA Church family
